- They activate it. They follow the link or scan the voucher, enter their details and they're ready to visit.

Your gift is ready to give. If you added the recipient's email or mobile number, we've sent them a link to activate it. Your gift voucher is attached to this email if you'd rather print it and give it in person.
Didn't add a recipient yet? Select Edit recipient on your order confirmation page, or if you were signed in when you bought it, go to My Account, select Membership and choose Send gift.
Changed your mind? If you were signed in when you bought it, you can activate the membership for yourself or someone in your household from My Account.

Do I need the recipient's details to buy a gift membership?
No. You can buy it now and add the recipient later, or leave it blank and give them the printed gift voucher. The recipient enters their own details when they activate it.
How does the recipient get their gift?
Add their name and email address or mobile number at checkout and we'll send them a link. You can also send it later from your order confirmation page or My Account, or print the gift voucher attached to your order confirmation email and give it in person.
How does the recipient activate their membership?
They follow the link in their gift email or text message, or scan the QR code on the gift voucher, then enter their details. They can also activate it at [Guest Services location] on their first visit.
Does the recipient need an online account?
No. They can activate their gift as a guest. If they have an account, they can sign in to add the membership to it.
Can I buy several memberships at once?
Yes. Choose how many you need on the membership page and add them to your cart. Each one gets its own line, where you mark it as a gift or fill in the member's details. Memberships for your own household need their details before checkout.
Can I send the gift later?
Yes. Right after checkout, select Edit recipient on your order confirmation page. If you were signed in when you bought it, you can also go to My Account, select Membership and choose Send gift. Otherwise, contact us at [Guest Services phone] or [Guest Services email].
What if I want to keep the membership?
If you were signed in when you bought it, go to My Account, select Activate now and enter the member's details. Any gift link you already sent will stop working. Otherwise, contact us at [Guest Services phone] or [Guest Services email].
Can a gift membership be used right away?
Gift memberships need to be activated before they can be used for visits or member benefits.
When does a gift membership start?
Its start and expiry dates are set when the gift is bought. Activating the gift doesn't change them.
Can I give a membership renewal as a gift?
No. Renewals and upgrades can't be bought as gifts. You can give a new membership instead.
What if the gift link doesn't work?
If the link says it isn't valid, the gift may have been sent to someone else since, and only the newest link works. If it says the gift is no longer available, it has already been activated. Contact us at [Guest Services phone] or [Guest Services email] if you need help.
Your membership runs for [Membership duration] from the purchase date, so we recommend activating it soon.

When a guest asks about a membership for someone else
"You can buy it as a gift today, and you don't need their details. They'll add their own information when they activate it."
How would they like to give it?
"I can print a gift voucher for you to wrap or email it to you with your receipt, or if you have their email address, I can send it to them directly once you've paid."
Before they leave
"Just so you know, the membership needs to be activated before it can be used. They can do that online by scanning the voucher, or here at [Guest Services location]."
POS steps: select the membership, enter a serial or select Auto Generate, choose Gift, add the recipient if known, then take payment. Send the recipient's invitation with Email → Gift Invitations, email the purchaser their vouchers with Email → Invoice (leave Attach Memberships on), or print a voucher with Print → Membership. 4cFront desk script: a guest arrives with a gift
When a gift voucher is scanned and the guest isn't admitted
"It looks like your gift membership hasn't been activated yet. I can do that for you now. It just takes a minute."
Collect their details
"Can I get the member's name and the other details we need for the membership?" Find their contact or select Add New Contact, complete the form and select Activate.
After activation
"You're all set. You'll get a confirmation email with your membership card, and you can add it to your phone's wallet."
Staff need the Edit POS Order and View POS Orders permissions to see Open order in POS after a scan. Gifts on refunded, voided or cancelled orders can't be activated. See Membership Gifting: Activating Gift Memberships On Site.

Paste these into the membership's Gift Voucher tab in Settings → Products → Memberships. Each one fits the field's character limit.

Activate your gift soon. Your membership runs from the purchase date.
Check the footer still fits 150 characters once your details are in. The Instructions field supports formatting such as bold, lists and links; its 1,000-character limit counts visible text only, and a warning shows if the text may not fit on the voucher.
